Vancouver

dinner & drinks 1st night at Joey's
I went on my first "mommy vacation" ever, to Vancouver with my girlfriend Shannon. It was much needed and we had a great time!

It was SO nice to be able to walk and shop at our leisure and sit down and eat a meal in peace.  And have a few beverages as well.
;-)

We flew up Thursday, April 28 in the afternoon and stayed till Sunday, May 1 afternoon. The weather was perfect. Sunny with a breeze. And it got nicer each day we were there. It only rained overnight on Thursday, but was sunny and warm by 10 the next morning.

We walked a TON, and thanks to my own personal Vancouver tour guide, we got to see a lot. We ate great and had some luck at shopping. And I finally got to meet Shannon's fabulous cousins and a few friends that she is always telling me about.

We even met a few other interesting people along the way! One guy that was grooving to his own music on the bus and two "young" ladies at the pub where we had wings and wine our last night in town. The younger lady (who was actually 67) asked us if we were twins haha and we asked if they were mother and daughter (which they were not). She was with her 93 year old neighbour Gladys - who had a big glass of beer in front of her and a walker haha! They were just gearing up at 11pm and heading to another pub.  Shannon and I on the other hand were heading back to the hotel to pack and get some sleep. Go Gladys Go!

Thanks Shannon for a wonderful trip!
Looking forward to doing it again!

cheers to our last night!

Last morning
Back in Calgary…
Daddy & the kids had a great weekend together. And it was busy too!
Out for dinners, playing non-stop, ice cream, visiting and even french toast for breakfast!

I don't even think they missed momma, as the house was empty when I arrived home!
Oh well, I guess that means I can go away more often now - YAY!

Great job daddy!
Thanks for giving momma a break! xoxo
